Powertec specializes in complete and partial retubing of shell-and-tube heat exchangers, including tube bundle removal, expansion or welding of new tubes, and pressure testing per ASME Section VIII and TEMA. We service heat exchangers of all classes and materials — carbon steel, stainless steel, cupronickel, titanium, and special alloys.
We perform mechanical tube expansion in tubesheets using controlled expansion equipment with torque monitoring, ensuring tube-tubesheet joints with certified leak-tightness and mechanical strength. For welded heat exchangers, we perform orbital TIG welding with ASME Section IX qualification and post-weld NDT inspection.
We also offer tubesheet repair services (oversize drilling, helicoil insert installation), gasket and packing replacement, mechanical shell cleaning, and helium leak testing for high-demand applications.
We design and install thermal insulation systems for equipment, piping, and industrial tanks. We use high-performance materials — rock wool, ceramic refractory, calcium silicate, elastomeric foam, and polyurethane — selected based on operating temperature, environmental conditions, and personnel protection requirements (hot work / cold work).
Our insulation projects consider optimal economic thickness, heat loss calculation, condensation prevention, and corrosion under insulation (CUI) protection. We install mechanical protection cladding in aluminum sheet, stainless steel, or prefabricated jackets, with industrial-quality finishing.
We serve petrochemical plants, refineries, cryogenic units, and high- and low-pressure steam systems. Our team is trained in work at height (NR-35) and confined space (NR-33), ensuring safe and efficient execution.
We perform chemical cleaning of industrial equipment and piping to remove scale, oxide deposits, rust, scale buildup, and organic contamination. We use specific chemical formulations for each type of deposit and construction material, with acidic, alkaline, chelating, and biodegradable solvent solutions.
Our chemical cleaning procedures include degreasing, pickling, passivation, and neutralization stages per ASTM A380 and PETROBRAS N-2562 standards. Cleaning is performed in closed-loop circuits with high-flow pumps, preparation tanks, and filtration systems, minimizing product consumption and environmental impact.
After cleaning, we perform effluent analysis and treatment per environmental regulations, and issue complete reports with before/after analysis, removal efficiency, and internal visual inspection via video camera.
Abrasive blasting services for surface preparation prior to application of anti-corrosion coatings. We perform near-white metal (Sa 2½) and white metal (Sa 3) blasting per ISO 8501-1, using steel grit, alumina, silicon carbide, and river sand abrasives (as applicable per standard).
We operate high-productivity blasting equipment with coverage up to 50 m²/h, vacuum and abrasive recycling units, and containment systems for dust and particle control. Our team is certified in NR-35 (work at height) and uses appropriate respiratory protection equipment (RPE).
We offer in-shop and on-field blasting for large equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, columns, and piping, with optimized schedules to meet short shutdown windows. After blasting, we perform anchor profile (roughness) measurement and cleanliness verification per ISO 8502-3 prior to primer application.
